El siguiente viaje de John Antic le trasladó al 01-03-1980 en Freemantle, cerca de Perth, localidad australiana de la que era oriundo Scott. Tras los funerales y meditar mucho sobre la continuidad de la banda, deciden hacerlo y comienza la búsqueda de un nuevo vocalista.Tras varios candidatos e innumerables audiciones , Brian Johnson, británico de Dunston, de profesión reparador de parabrisas y techos de coches, y cantante de un grupo llamado Geordie les convence. Había audicionado sin éxito para grupos como Rainbow o Uriah Heep pero ahora llegaba su momento. Malcolm le comunicó que era el elegido y Brian lo celebró con su hermano y una botella entera de whisky.

The following travel of John Antic moved him to 01-03-1980 in Freemantle, close to Perth, Australian locality of which he was native Scott. After the funerals and to ponder very much on the continuity of the band, they decide to do it and the search of a new vocalist begins. After several candidates and innumerable auditions, Brian Johnson, Briton of Dunston, of profession repairer of windshield and roofs of cars, and singer of a group called Geordie convinces them. He was trying to work without success for groups as Rainbow or Uriah Heep but now him hour was coming. Malcolm communicated to him that it was the elected one and Brian celebrated it with its brother and an entire bottle of whisky.

Aunque los comienzos no fueron fáciles, con conciertos no muy brillantes en Holanda y en Gran Bretaña en Donnington, llegó Back in Black, disco homenaje al compañero fallecido y el éxito fue rotundo. No cabía esperar menos de la considerada obra maestra de este grupo.

Although the beginnings were not easy, with not-very-bright concerts in Holland and Great Britain in Donnington, arrived Back in Black, tribute to the deceased partner and the success was overwhelming. It could not expect less from this masterpiece.

En el siguiente viaje John se vió en Berlín en 1990. El muro había caído hacía unos meses y las tiendas de discos de la ciudad habían agotado las existencias de los discos de ACDC, concretamente de Back In Black. Se podría decir que el primer acto de libertad de los alemanes del este fue comprar la música prohibida de la que extraoficialmente habían oído hablar. La modernidad se abrió paso a través del telón de acero al ritmo de los acordes de Hell´s Bells y llegó hasta Moscú, en uno de los conciertos más multitudinarios del grupo.

In the next trip John was in Berlin in 1990. The wall had fallen a few months ago and the record shops of the city had sold the stocks of ACDC´s works, specifically Back in Black. One could say that the first act of freedom of the East Germans was to buy the forbidden music they had heard unofficially. Modernity was opened through the iron curtain to the rhythm of the chords of Hell's Bells and arrived to Moscow, in one of the most multitudinous concerts of the group.

La banda estaba no obstante afrontando problemas. Malcolm Young estaba en proceso de superación de los problemas de alcoholismo que le aquejaban y se reincorporaba a la banda. Por otra parte, uno de los criminales en serie más peligrosos de EEUU, Richard Ramírez dejaba en uno de los escenarios del crimen una gorra con el logo AC/DC, estableciendo la prensa una relación más que forzada con el grupo y su canción "Night Prowler" (merodeador nocturno), lo cual les granjeó bastante mala fama durante un tiempo en uno de sus principales mercados. Sin embargo, en septiembre salió otro de los grandes discos de la banda, "The Razors Edge" y el Thunderstruck rodaba de nuevo.

The band was confronting nevertheless problems. Malcolm Young was in process of overcoming of the problems of alcoholism that were bothering him and was rejoining to the band. On the other hand, one of the criminals more dangerous in USA, Richard Ramírez left in one of the stages of the crime a cap with the logo AC/DC, establishing the press a relation more than forced with the group and its song "Night Prowler". This fact gave quite bad reputation to them during a time in one of its main markets. Nevertheless, in September went out one of the big works of the band, "The Razors Edge" and the Thunderstruck was rolling again.

 

Tras la vuelta de John de su viaje astral, el doctor le comunicó que sus constantes vitales se habían visto de nuevo muy alteradas. El ritmo cardiaco había subido mucho en determinados momentos y posteriormente había bajado a niveles peligrosos. Es como si al inicio del viaje el cuerpo hubiera llegado al límite de su capacidad y, una vez iniciado el mismo, descendiera a un estado casi de letargo en espera a que el viaje acabase. Esto era peligroso para la salud de John y el doctor se lo comunicó. Había documentado todo lo necesario para su estudio y no era conveniente realizar más viajes. Suministraría a John la medicación necesaria para evitar problemas. John no obstante insistió en hacer un último intento, ya que era consciente de que si hacía el último, el que seguramente le llevaría a la época actual, descubriría el sentido de todo aquello.

After the return of John from him travel, the doctor informed him that his vital signs were very altered during it. The heart rate had risen much at certain times and had subsequently dropped to dangerous levels. It is as if at the beginning of the journey the body would have reached the limit of its capacity and, once begun, descend into a state almost of lethargy waiting for the travel had stopped. This was dangerous to the health of John and the doctor informed him. He had documented everything he need for him study and was not convenient to make travel more. He would give to John the medication he need to avoid problems. John however insisted to make one last attempt, since it was aware that if he did the latter, which would surely lead to the present time, discover the meaning of all that.

En este viaje, John se desplazó a Sidney en 2014. En un hospital, los familiares de Malcolm esperaban la hora de visita. Malcolm no reconoció a Angus al principio, pero afortunadamente luego sí; aunque estaba en buenas manos, el proceso degenerativo había hecho mucho daño y la familia asistía preocupada a los acontecimientos. El problema en realidad lo habían detectado años antes,  durante la gira de 2009, y aunque había aguantado e incluso llegó a participar en el proceso creativo del nuevo disco, en 2014 se hizo imposible continuar. la noticia fue devastadora. Aunque técnicamente su sobrino Stevie Young podía sustituirle, la parte más creativa del grupo había desaparecido y este quedaba seriamente tocado.

Por otra parte, el batería Phil Rudd atravesaba por problemas con la justicia. Más problemas para el grupo.

In this trip, John moved Sidney in 2014. In a hospital, Malcolm's relatives were waiting for the hour of visit. Malcolm did not recognize Angus at first, but fortunately then yes; although it was in good hands, the degenerative process had hurt very much and the family was present worried at the events. The problem in fact they was detected years earlier, during the tour of 2009, and although Malcolm ressisted and even took part in the creative process of the new disc, in 2014 it became impossible to continue. The news was devastating. Although technically him nephew Stevie Young could replace him, the most creative part of the group had disappeared and the band was seriously damaged.

 

John regresó con sensación de frustración. Tenía claro que todo había acabado pero no porque había pasado. Empezó a escuchar ACDC y algunos temas le empezaron a gustar, pero más por saber la historia de la banda y haber sido casi partícipe en tiempo real de sus avatares que por otra cosa. Pasaron varios meses y no se produjeron más viajes, aunque tuvo que acudir a algunos congresos  científicos a explicar sus vivencias. Al final todo se olvidó y la rutina vital se restableció.

John returned with frustration sensation. He was sure that everything had finished but not because it had happened. He began listening to ACDC and some songs began liking him, but more for knowing the history of the band and having been almost participant in real-time of its ups and downs than for another thing. They spent several months and travels did not take place any more, although he had to come to some scientific congresses to explain its experiences. In the end everything was forgotten and the vital routine was restored.

A comienzos de 2015 sin embargo, esa rutina se alteró. Su esposa le comunicó una tarde de febrero  que esperaba un hijo. Llevaban tiempo buscándolo y estaban preocupados porque no lo conseguían por lo que la felicidad fue máxima. A la hora de buscar nombre la esposa le dijo que le gustaría que se llamara Malcolm como el abuelo materno. A John le pareció genial.

However, that routine was altered at the beginning of 2015. His wife informed him an afternoon of February that she was pregnant. They had time looking for a child and were concerned because they not succeeded. Therefore the happiness was maximum. When they were looking for name, the wife told him that she would like the child was called Malcolm as the grandfather. To John it seemed great.

 

Nota del autor.- Sirva esta narración como modestísimo homenaje a la persona de Malcolm Young y en general a los ACDC, grupo que me ha acompañado desde la infancia y que me ha hecho pasar ratos increíbles. Pese al brillo de Angus, siempre me había parecido que la estructura rítmica de los temas era la verdadera clave del éxito y eso se le debe a Malcolm. Su ausencia no me hace ser muy optimista respecto al futuro, pero el próximo domingo iré a disfrutar de ellos.  

Note author.-serve this narrative as a modest tribute to the person of Malcolm Young and in general to ACDC, group that has accompanied me since childhood and that has made me spend incredible time. Despite the brightness of Angus, always had seemed to me that the rhythmic structure of the songs was the true key to success and that is due to Malcolm. La siguiente historia comenzó en realidad hace unos años. Fue un domingo por la noche tarde, en el que algo aburrido pero sin sueño, acabé viendo "Cuarto Milenio"; ya sabéis ese programa de misterio y curiosidades que presenta el gran Iker Jiménez. Estaban hablando de los viajes astrales.  Una persona está durmiendo y en el momento de coger el sueño tiene la sensación de que abandona su cuerpo, flota por la habitación , se ve a sí misma durmiendo y es capaz de desplazarse a otros lugares y momentos.  Eso es un viaje astral.

Un caso curioso es el de Ed Morell. Este preso de San Quintín, cuyas experiencias inspiraron el libro de Jack London "El vagabundo de las Estrellas", podía evadirse de su confinamiento mediante este tipo de desdoblamientos. Era capaz de salir de su cuerpo, verse a sí mismo en la celda de castigo, atravesar las paredes de hormigón y abandonar la prisión. Nadie sabe a ciencia cierta porque pasa esto; ¿tenemos un alma que deja nuestro cuerpo? ¿simplemente es nuestro cerebro el que se pone a funcionar de un modo desconocido?. Quién sabe.
The following story actually began a few years ago. It was a Sunday late at night, I was something boring but without sleep and I ended up watching "Cuarto Milenio";a spanish tvprogram of mystery and curiosities that presents the great Iker Jimenez. They were talking about astral projection. A person is sleeping and has the feeling that leaves its body, fleet by the room , sees itself sleeping and is able to move to other places and times. This is an astral voyage. A curious case is Ed Morell´s. This prisoner of San Quintin, whose experiences inspired the book of Jack London's "The Star Rover", was able to escape from his confinement that way. He was able to get out of him body, see himself lying in the punishment cell, pass through the walls of concrete and leave this way the prison. Nobody knows why or how it happens; do we have a soul that leaves our body? is it our brain operating in a unknown way?. Who knows.
 

El caso es que comentando en esos días estos temas en la oficina en la que trabajaba, me hablaron del extraño caso de un tipo canadiense de origen serbio que tenía varias vivencias de este tipo. Tenía una experiencias sensoriales curiosas cuando dormía, experiencias todas ellas con un denominador común: la familia australiana de origen escocés Young de la que en su vida había oído hablar. John Antic se llamaba este viajero. Era un joven recientemente casado, trabajador de una aseguradora, amante del jazz y del blues y del hockey sobre hielo.
Talking about these topics in my office, a mate spoke to me about the strange case of a Canadian- serbian guy that liveseveral experiences of this type. He had curious sensory experiences when he was sleeping, experiences all of them with a common denominator: the Australian Scottish family Young. He never had heard to speak about this family. The traveller was called John Antic an he was a young man recently married, he worked on an insurance company, he likes jazz and blues and ice hockey too.

En la primera de estas experiencias, se encontró que había viajado a Glasgow en el año 1955, a una casa destartalada, en un barrio bastante pobre. Acababa de nacer un diminuto bebé al que sus padres decidieron poner de nombre Angus. Era el octavo de la familia y ante la grave situación económica que se planteaba, los padres habían decidido seguir el camino de otros muchos escoceses y emigrar a la entonces tierra prometida de Australia. John también observó los problemas en el colegio del muchacho, su pasión por los grandes bluesman, etc. Cuando volvió o despertó, lo que fuera,  se encontró cansado y tremendamente sorprendido. Le contó a su mujer lo que el creía que era un sueño. 
At the beginning, in the first voyage,  he had travelled to Glasgow in 1955, to a ramshackle house, in a very poor neighborhood. A tiny baby was born and the parents chose to name him Angus. It was the eighth children of the family and due to economic problems, the parents had decided to follow the path of other many Scots and emigrate to the promised land of Australia. John also noted the problems that the boy had in the school, his passion for the great bluesman, etc. When he returned, or woke up, whatever, he found tired and extremely surprised. Told his wife what he thought was a dream.


En el siguiente sueño, John se encontró siguiendo al muchacho anterior en la Australia a finales de los 60. Aquel adolescente que apenas sobrepasaba el metro cincuenta, acababa de comprar una guitarra Gibson SG y jugaba a imitar a su ídolo Jimmy Hendrix en su cuarto. Había dejado los estudios y había encontrado un trabajo en una imprenta. Tanto a él como a su hermano Malcolm, les había dado por la música por influencia directa de sus hermanos mayores Alex y George que se dedicaban a ello. Hay que decir que con bastante éxito en el caso de George y su grupo, los Easybets.  Malcolm decidió montar un grupo y ante la falta de miembros estables, decidió contar con su hermano pequeño. Angus, que por cierto había aprendido sus primeros acordes con Malcolm, estuvo encantado con la idea.
In the next dream, John was found following that aussie boy in Australia in the late 60s. That teenage that barely exceeded the five-foot,  just bought a Gibson SG guitar and played to imitate one of his idol Jimmy Hendrix in him room. He had left his studies and had found a job in a printing press. Both to him and his brother Malcolm loves the music by direct influence of his older brothers Alex and George who were dedicated to this. Quite successfully in the case of George and his group, the Easybets. Malcolm decided to assemble a group and in the absence of better members, he decided to invite his little brother to join with him. Angus, who had learned their first chords with Malcolm, was delighted with the idea.

Estuvieron varias semanas pensando el nombre y al final aceptaron la sugerencia de su hermana Margaret de poner el letrero AC/DC que había visto en su máquina de coser, ya que transmitía la idea de potencia y electricidad que Malcolm quería para la formación. El muchacho era tan joven y de comportamiento tan infantil que su hermana le sugirió que podía vestirse de colegial en sus actuaciones. Se llevaba eso de ir disfrazado pero no querían gastar dinero, por lo que  aquel traje le vino bien. La nochevieja de 1973 les sorprendió tocando en un local de Sidney. La fortuna les fue algo esquiva hasta que por fin encontraron el salto de calidad definitivo. Se lo dio un vocalista juerguista y algo pendenciero, que había incluso estado en la cárcel, pero que tenía el carisma especial que ellos buscaban y que el anterior cantante no tenía. Era también de origen escocés como ellos. Se llamaba Bon Scott, y en él los Young vieron su alter ego. Estaba predestinado a ser una estrella del rock en toda la magnitud del termino, con todos sus excesos y con el tributo de la muerte prematura.

There were several weeks thinking about the band´s name, and ultimately they agreed to the suggestion of his sister Margaret. She had seen in her sewing machine AC/DC and she thought it could be a good name. Malcolm thought it too, the name has the power and electricity that Malcolm were looking for. As Angus was so young and has a childlike behavior, his sister suggested that she could dress up schoolboy in his performances. They also didn't want to spend money, so that costume came well. The new year's Eve 1973 surprised them playing in a place in Sydney. Fortune was somewhat elusive until they finally found the definitive qualitative leap. It was gave for a vocalist binge and something tough, that had even been in jail, but that had the charisma special that they sought and that the former singer not had. It was also of Scottish origin as them. Bon Scott was him name, and the Young saw his alter ego in him. He was predestined to become a star of the rock in the full extent of the term, with all its excesses and premature death tribute.

Cuando John volvió de este segundo viaje, ya casi más asustado que sorprendido, se puso a indagar sobre ACDC. Por supuesto que sabía que era un grupo de rock, bastante longevo y bastante exitoso. También había oído Back In Black, y Highway to Hell, pero ahí se acababan los conocimientos sobre esta banda. Es por eso que alucinó cuando vio que todo lo que el había vivido en esos supuestos sueños había ocurrido de verdad. Además, viendo  fotos comprobó que las caras que veía eran las verdaderas. Decidió ponerse en manos de especialistas, y tras una peregrinación interminable por incrédulos médicos, que pensaban que simplemente soñaba utilizando información consciente o inconsciente, dio con un neurólogo que decidió estudiar su caso. En una habitación destinada al estudio de trastornos del sueño inició sus experimentos con John:
When John returned from this second voyage, already almost more frightened that surprised, he began to inquire about ACDC. Of course that he knew it was a rock band, quite long lived and quite successful. Also he had heard Back in Black, and Highway to hell, but there finish him knowledge about the band. Los potentes somníferos hicieron efecto. Los electrodos empezaron a registrar la actividad cerebral de John y comenzó su tercer viaje. A finales del año 1979 a España, país con una recién estrenada democracia, que intentaba modernizar su televisión . Actuación de ACDC en el programa musical español "Aplauso". El público sentado y en silencio, no muy típico de las actuaciones rock, disfrutó al ritmo del mencionado "Highway to Hell" las últimas evoluciones sobre un escenario de Scott.

The powerful sleeping pills made effect. Electrodes began to record brain activity of John and began his third voyage. He went to Spain, 1979, a country with a newly released democracy, trying to upgrade the television. Performance of ACDC in the Spanish musical show "Aplauso". The audience seated and silent, not very typical of rock performances, enjoyed the rhythm of the mentioned "Highway to Hell" the latest developments on a stage of Scott.

El doctor observaba algo inquieto las alteraciones que los monitores indicaban. El área cerebral que regula la función visual estaba disociada de la llamada zona de circunvalación angular que regula la cognición espacial. El pulso estaba alterado y era peligroso continuar, por lo que el doctor decidió hacerle volver. Mientras tanto, la mente de John se encontraba en Londres, junto a un vehículo aparcado en una zona residencial con una persona dentro fallecida. No pudo ver más detalles porque había despertado, pero lo que John había visto fue a Bon Scott  muerto en un coche tras aspirar su propio vómito tras una noche de borrachera. Era febrero de 1980 y el grupo había viajado a Londres para grabar nuevas canciones.  Malcolm tuvo que trasladar la noticia a los padres de Bon, para que no se enterasen por la prensa. Tras el entierro y una vez meditada la continuidad del grupo, decidieron volver con un nuevo disco y nuevo vocalista. En los corazones de los Young habían nacido las canciones que integrarían "Back in Black", el disco más exitoso de la banda y uno de los grandes hitos en la historia del rock. Sería el segundo disco más vendido de la historia tras Thriller de Michael Jackson.
The doctor was observing something anxious the alterations that the monitors were indicating. The cerebral area that regulates the visual function was dissociated from the called area of angular beltway that regulates the spatial cognition. The pulse was altered and it was dangerous to continue, therefore the doctor decided to make him return. Meanwhile, John's mind was in London, close to a vehicle parked in a residential area with a person inside deceased. It could not see any more details because he had woken up, but what John had seen went to Bon Scott died in a car after inhaling its own vomiting after a night of drunkenness. It was February, 1980 and the group had traveled to London to record new songs. Malcolm had to move the news to the Bon parents, so that they were not finding out for the press. After the burial and as soon as the continuity of the group was pondered, they decided to return with a new disc and new vocalist. In the hearts of Youngs there had been born the songs that there would integrate "Back in Black", the most successful disc of the band and one of the big milestones in the history of the rock. It would be the second most sold record of the history after Michael Jackson´s Thriller.

John, intrigado y conmovido con la historia, le pidió al doctor que le ayudase a profundizar en estas experiencias. Sentía que todo aquello que le pasaba era por alguna razón y debía llegar al final. Lo que pasó a partir de aquí lo veremos la semana que viene. 
John, intrigued and moved to the story, asked the doctor to help him dive into these experiences. He felt that everything that was happening was for some reason and he should reach the end. What happened from here we will see the coming week.
