Tras pasar las fiestas navideñas, a Dustin le tocaba volver a su vida de siempre. No le apetecía pero no tenía más remedio. Al día siguiente, tras desayunar, saldría a su trabajo como siempre. El día sería claro como casi siempre en su zona, iría como siempre a su trabajo de siempre, en las oficinas de una empresa encargada de la explotación de una cantera de basalto, en el medio de transporte de siempre y a la hora de siempre. Todo predecible. Todo estable. Lo que supuestamente siempre había querido. Y lo que sin duda ahora detestaba..
After spending the Christmas holidays,  Dustin has to go back to his life as always. He had no choice. The next day, after breakfast, he would go to his job as always. The day would be clear as usual in him area, go as always to his work always, at the offices of a company responsible for the exploitation of a quarry of basalt, in means of transport provided and when ever. Quería un poco de aventura, adentrarse por lugares desconocidos y descubrir cosas. En Shackelton City, su ciudad, todo era muy tranquilo. El deseaba ir a zonas ecuatoriales, a las explotaciones de helio 3, a visitar las míticas ciudades enterradas. Por eso, meses atrás había solicitado cambiarse de departamento y trasladarse al de prospección exterior. 
He wanted a little adventure, explore unknown places and discover things. In Shackelton city, his city, everything was quiet. He wanted to go to equatorial areas, to the farms of helium 3, visit the mythical buried cities. So, months ago he had requested change of department and moved to the outdoor exploration.

Aun así, no le malinterpretéis. Adoraba Shackelton. Era una ciudad moderna y funcional, con un alto nivel de vida, por las explotaciones mineras que la rodeaban y la exportación de sus recursos. Sus abuelos habían decidido trasladarse allí 50 años atrás buscando nuevas oportunidades y él estaba agradecido por ello.

Se empezará por pequeñas instalaciones, quizá hinchables, en las escasas zonas que reciben luz solar, en las regiones polares, en las que se vivirá un poco parecido a como se vive hoy en día en regiones inhóspitas de la Tierra. Luego, a partir de la explotación de los recursos naturales se conseguirán condiciones de vida muy parecidas a las de aquí en ciudades encapsuladas con atmósferas artificiales, que no solo darán sustento vital sino que protegerán de las radiaciones y lluvias de meteoros, con invernaderos y cosechas de plantas modificadas genéticamente para maximizar el aprovechamiento de la luz. Poco a poco se irán colonizando nuevos territorios,  mediante la llegada masiva de inmigrantes desde la Tierra, conforme se vayan desarrollando las comunicaciones y los medios de transporte. Puede que se construyan ciudades bajo el suelo en las zonas más inhóspitas, en las zonas ecuatoriales..

Después vamos a los 90 a escuchar como Extreme, formación no suficientemente valorada en mi opinión, le pide al mundo que se pare para poderse bajar, para seguir con los inclasificables y geniales Muse y terminar con el clasicazo Shot To Thrill de AC/DC en vivo.

EL MURO.- THE WALL

-Peter estaba nervioso pero decidido. Helmut estaba con él. Su hermana esperaba también al otro lado. No había más opción. Según los momentos la empresa a realizar le parecía o imposible, o fácil, o toda la gama intermedia. -Serán los nervios- pensó-

Para no levantar sospechas, no se habían despedido de sus compañeros de trabajo el día anterior y habían pasado toda la noche en la vieja carpintería al lado de la zona de la muerte. Y allí quedó a sus 18 años.

-Helmut lo había conseguido. Para las estadísticas Peter quedó como la tercera victima ya que Ida y Rudolf le habían precedido. Ellos no sobrevivieron al intentar saltar desde una ventana al lado occidental en los momentos de la construcción del muro.
