Estaba paralizado.
Jeremy empezó a hablar:
- No intentes moverte.
No tendrás ningún dolor. Disfrutaste matando a Erin. Yo no disfruto matándote a ti.
Jeremy se alejó. Empezó a llover. Puro cañonazo Moth into Flame.
-Vengo a coger algunas cosas-
He was the leader. He was the alpha male. Twenty-eight individuals in the herd considered him as well, but it doesn´t matter to him. It was natural. His character gave him that status. The wolves and their hierarchical social structure is curious thing. There are often a couple "alpha" which is imposed on the rest using struggles more ritual than actual, maybe postural could say. They tend to be the most gifted individuals physically. Once reached its predominant status, they do not impose their decisions to others, but simply they make those decisions and the others follow them. Thus until it reaches the turn that some young take the initiative to take control and following the ancient ritual, again, get it.
But the herd to which we refer was not normal. It wasn´t normal the size of the herd. But the most unusual thing is that the alpha male of which we spoke was a human being, a man. This piece of information didn't mind the wolves. They had been "impregnated".
You may ask you. Well, it is something that Konrad Lorenz discovered. It seems that in the initial weeks of the life of any puppy, the awareness that they are and to where they belong develop in them. Once passed this relatively short period, closes that door to consciousness and then it cannot be reopened. If in that period they have internalized that a man is his caregiver and his guide, they shall consider him always as such. All your senses are "permeate" of it.
This man, named Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente, was also special. He got with the patience of who loves the nature more, be that Father Wolf herd needed. In March, specifically the 14th, was the anniversary of both his birth and his death in a plane crash in Alaska, that tragic day that twenty-eight wolves were left leaderless. The land was left without the man. Serve this small and modest homage to someone so great. You have a podcast on RNE dedicated to it that I recommend and that you illustrate much more about his life, death and legacy.
Buen tema este King of the Underdogs. Después seguiremos con Queensryche y Arrow of Time. As for the music, we will start with Jason Newsted and his band Newsted and a song that could be signed the very same Metallica, group in that Newsted was a member as you know. Only Hetfield´s voice is left to be a perfect song. Good song this King of the Underdogs. We will then continue with Queensryche and the Arrow of Time. High quality instrumental and vocal above all of these classics. Americans with European sound. Europe as the Finns Timo Rautiainen and Neljas Sektori his Piru Minut Perikoon, the Swedish Opeth song and its quality and to finish a tender ballad that integrates one of the best vocalists European ex-Helloween. Michael Kiske accompanied by the beautiful Amanda Somerville, great voice also. I hope you enjoy
Era la ciudad más moderna del mundo, con amplias avenidas recién construidas, con la flamante Tour Eiffel estrenada unos años antes, con la primera línea de metro de la ciudad construyéndose.., Looking at the Rue Saint Honoré cityscape´s painted by Pisarro, you could see how was Paris in 1898 It was the world's most modern city with wide avenues, newly built, with the brand new Tour Eiffel premiered a few years earlier, with the first line of the metro of the city building..
It was the modernism Paris or Art Nouveau Paris if you wish... that young, new, free, modern art, with aesthetic inspired by nature made with industrial iron and glass materials, totally disruptive to the above. Also was the period of positivism, science explains everything, and that was time of development of inventions that marked the 20th century, aviation, automobile, cinema, radio
It was also the time of leisure, with economic development, the reduction of working hours...It was definitely the Belle Époque, as it was recalled later that period of splendour, and believe me, it was worth living in Paris at that time, sharing cafes in Montmartre or evenings at the Folies Bergère, Chat Noir and Moulin Rouge, with Verne, Zola, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, Oscar Wilde, the young Picasso...
But while all this was happening, in a small workshop in the suburbs the young Louis worked tirelessly. This small workshop was built a few years earlier in a small shed of the family home. He always felt comfortable among tools, nuts and bolts because he was passionate about mechanics, he was 21 years old and with the little money that he had obtained in military service, he had bought an old tricycle Dion trying to with their knowledge to modify. He managed to add one more wheel and a transmission and got a car of three speeds and reverse. He was euphoric. He had managed to build his own car in a time in which to have one was very difficult. His first impulse was to show his achievement to his family and friends, but he thought it better...
Arrived Christmas Eve party. Guests of Alfred, father of Louis, arrived, as they were also his children Marcel, Fernand, girls... only was missing Louis as always,... He would be in his workshop and would have to go to look for it...
But it wasn´t neccesary. Louis arrived in his brand-new and modern automobile built by himself. He immediately became the center of attention of the party. Unlike other cars of the era, his vehicle perfectly climbing hills, had a very good speed in plain and was also quite silent, without resonant strings. He impressed both friends of his father who immediately received the commissioned to build 24 more cars. Even in their wildest dreams Louis Renault would have thought what had just been born in his small workshop. It was simply the beginning of his own empire.
The Man Who Sold The World.
About the music of this week, we start with the huge Led Zeppelin´s Kashmir, in a performance in which John Bonham, was replaced by his son Jason. We continue with the inventors of the metal Black Sabbath and their End of The Beginning, with powerful Iommy guitar,s riffs. We will continue with the best Bon Jovi, the 80s, with probably his best song, Wanted Dead or Alive. Then Nirvana and their version of the theme of Bowie, The Man Who Sold The World. Look at your battery because in the last of the videos that I propose, Foo Fighters and The Pretender, you'll see years more late pass of the sticks and to become guitar and vocalist. Finally, I will recommend Fortress of Alter Bridge and the Metallica´s cover Dyer´s Eve made by Revocation. There is no official videos and why not hang them here, but there are versions on YouTube. It is worth listening to. I leave them in spotify´s list.

-Serán los nervios- pensó- Peter was nervous but determined. Helmut was with him. His sister was expected also to the other side. There was no choice. According to the moments seemed that the mission to perform was or impossible, or easy, or the intermediate range. -It must be the nerves - he thought.
Not to raise suspicions, they had not said goodbye of its coworkers the previous day and had spent the whole night in the old carpentry next to the area of the death. Only there was a moment to try the jump, and it was when the guard has passed and they were not doing it again in ten minutes. They were trusting that the police officers of the towers were relaxed and react late so that they had time to give the jump. One was mentioning that there were mines. Better not to think about it.
- The time has come- they jumped the first fence and ran, Peter saw as Helmut ran in front of him; never thought that he might run as well. He heard a "halt" and started the shooting. Helmut won jump. When Peter was at the top of the wall, but a few centimeters of the freedom he felt a sharp pain in the pelvis and saw the blood spurting out. Forces abandoned him and fell back from the side of the wall from which he came, which represented the tyranny and the irrational, that of the shame ... And there he stayed at the age of 18.
-Helmut had succeeded. For statistics Peter remained the third victim because Ida and Rudolf had preceded him. They did not survive trying to jump from a window to the west side at times of the construction of the wall.
No perduraría-, dijo Orwell. Tuvo razón. En 1989 el muro fue derribado. - It is impossible to establish a civilization on the fear, the hate and the cruelty. It would not last - said Orwell. He was right. In 1989 the wall was demolished.

Was there reallyKing Arthur? The truthis there are manydoubts. It seems that inthe eleventh century,almost600 yearsafterthe monarch's death, the monks ofGlastonbury AbbeyinSommerset, 45 km fromBristol, who hadfounda tombinsidehuman remainsand a crosslead, in whichthe inscriptionreading "here lies King Arthur" and as such itdocumented inwritings of the time. Glastonbury, therefore, was theAvalonLegends, whereArthur died. Butastheseremains, togetherwiththeabbey itselfdisappearedwhen HenryVIIIordered the destruction, there is no tangibleproof of the existenceofthat king. The majority opinionamong historiansis that it simplyis a legendary carácter.
A British architect was fascinated by the legend and raised aimed at verifying its historical base. His name was Frederick Bligh-Bond. From the scanty remains of the ancient abbey and its huge mathematical knowledge, he sought codes governing the proportions of buildings. That could produce a rough map of how they could have been located in the sixth century. The calculations proved accurate and when it started to dig new remains of the abbey and all buildings were found, even small traces of the marble tomb supposedly; but unfortunately nothing was found illustrious occupant, so Bligh, frustrated, sought alternatives. And he found in the occult, the paranormal, a subject so popular in the early twentieth century. He invoked through a medium to the spirits of those monks and they were telling him where to dig. With these methods so unorthodox had new achievements, such as finding an older below the abbey chapel. No one knew of its existence. There would surely be the coveted remains, it may be that even the Holy Grail of the legend also says that he was brought there by Joseph of Arimathea; but he could not tell, as their psychic methods were not accepted and the authorities prevented the researcher continued. The rest of his life was spent trying to get permission again unsuccessfully. He died in 1945.
In 1908, while Bligh-Bond was directing the excavation in Glastonbury, a boy of eight years wandering around. This child-it named Arthur Ralegh Radford and at that time had already decided to be an archaeologist. And it ended up being. And the legend of King Arthur seduced him too. As it was difficult to re-dig Glastonbury, she began by looking at the supposed birthplace of Arthur at Tintagel in Cornwall. According to legend, Arthur's father, Uther Pendragon was in love with the Countess of Cornwall. Count aware of its purpose, took her to a secluded place, Tintagel, in which he secluded himself impregnable castle. How did meet with his beloved Pendragon ?. The only way possible. The magician Merlin the bewitched to be like the Conde and so could move smoothly once the Count of truth was absent from the castle. So Arthur was conceived. Well, Radford excavated on the island and ended up finding the old city in the sixth century in which the events took place, something that historians doubted it existed. But unfortunately he did not find any reference to the character. Later he went to Glastonbury in search of the tomb after years of work and found one that met the requirements of location and age, but neither contained the remains of Arthur. He continued to work tirelessly until almost the end of his days. When almost 90 years and was still asked to bring him to see the ruins. He died in 1998.
None of the charactersmanaged tofulfill his dreambut that'snot important.I thinkmore and more thatthe search andthe discoveryis what makeslife interesting.
STONE SOUR OR THE MIXTURE OF SOUNDGARDEN AND METALLICA
These are the songs (linked to YouTube) that I began to listen with devotion after the adventure that I will tell you behind. Now they have another meaning to me:
After visiting New York and know the Rossi´s record store, story already told, I moved to the North. The organized trip that i had hired by Canada wasn´t going precisely well. So, I decided to take advantage of the displacements and hotels, but make the visits on my own. And the story I'm going to tell happened in Quebec
I left early for the old town of the city, the Vieux Port. He had about five kilometers and I decided to walk. After passing through the areas of the so-called Plains of Abraham, green plain scene of many battles between English and French for the domain of the city, start the old, sinuous, colorful and bustling streets that you move suddenly to the old Europe of the 18th century. Amazing. After taking an Icecapp (ice-blended coffee cappuccino) in a Tim Hortons and pass the ancient wall(striking element in an American City), I enjoyed wandering through old Quebec: downtown with its winding cobbled streets, its French-style houses, their markets and restaurants, and the part with the impressive Frontenac castle on the cliffs of Cap Diamant , overlooking the stunning and immense St. Lawrence River.
A mexican guy who had met in Toronto had recommended me to try the steak of bison before leaving Canada. In Quebec there was a site that prepared them something similar to Spanish style. It is a special meat that has protein and flavor of cow, but the calories of chicken. I was in need of a good meal after several days in the country and went to the place. There were enough people and I had to wait for a while, so that I went to have a beer while I was waiting. Once they had put one pint of Molson, typical Canadian beer, a girl on the other side of the bar told me that I had not made a good choice. For her the best beer to taste in Canada, particularly in Quebec, was a called Trois Pistoles. Described it me as a powerful beer from the point of view of alcoholic, 9 degrees, dense and maltose with a dark brown heat and smell of dried fruit and caramel. It goes perfectly for the hard winters in the area, six months more than 10 below zero.
The girl was 28 years old and she came from Iowa. She has arrived from Ottawa and wants to go to Montreal to the Rock Festival to see mainly Korn, Faith No More and Slipknot. Not very high blonde, not especially beautiful, but she was very attractive to me. Her innocent appearance contrasted with the shirt of Metallica´s Kill'em all, something large to her. The combination was more than suggestive. She told me that it was called Pam. I told her that it took note of the beer recommendation and that I invited her to eat. To my surprise, she agreed.
The conversation focused about life in Canada, USA and Spain. Hard living hers. Family problems since childhood, the poverty of the surroundings, its conflicted character and bad companies had led it to live on the streets, these streets of Detroit where these girls life expectancy does not extend beyond 6 months. Prostitution and the addition to the crack was taken to the prison from where thanks to a programme of rehabilitation and after spending two years with probation managed to escape. It was restored but it should be subject to regular checks and in fact get out of USA not had found it easy. After eating, we went back to walk through the old streets moistened by a storm that had fallen while we ate. We went to the other side of the St. Lawrence river to visit the village of Levy, with its typical houses. There was a jazz festival and we hear some songs before return to Quebec again. We had to run to avoid losing it.
We also went to see the Indian reserve of the Hurons, Amerindian people in the area who called their territory Kanata (Canada) about 15 km away and, when we were back, we finish the day just sitting on the wall talking about heavy music, and in particular groups of his land, mainly Slipknot and Stone Sour. We agreed that we liked Stone Sour more, although they were less spectacular, above all for the quality of its guitarists in particular Jim Root, spectacular with him two meters high, and the rhythmic base so strongly that they gives to their compositions.
After visiting a couple of locals and taste with great pleasure the beers "Trois-pistoles", it was time to go back to the hotel. The next day i had to go with the group of which i had been separated, toward Montreal. On the way to the bus 800 that took me to the hotel, and following speaking of music, Pam told me that for her Stone Sour were a mixture of Metallica and Soundgarden and the result of the mixture was great. For me they are something like Foo Fighters but more powerful, but I didn´t say nothing because, as I said, she wore the shirt of Metallica and by these curious things of destiny, this day I was wearing a Soundgarden t-shirt ...

A LITTLE MORE POWERFUL!

Then, commenting with him, Idiscoveredthat his father wasnot entirelyagree. The music thathisson likedwas toopowerful.-
-Pues me he moderado bastante!-. dijo Sonny.
- Well, I think i´m very moderated right now- Sonny said
Intentaré recordad lo que sonaba: I will try to remember the music that was sounded
