Es curioso lo de los lobos y su estructura jerárquica social. Suele haber una pareja llamada "alfa" que se impone al resto a base de luchas más rituales que reales, más bien posturales podríamos decir. Suelen ser los individuos más dotados físicamente. Una vez alcanzado su status predominante, no imponen sus decisiones a los demás, sino que simplemente toman esas decisiones y los demás las siguen. Así hasta que llega el turno de que algún joven tome la iniciativa de hacerse con el control y de nuevo, siguiendo el ritual ancestral, lo consiga. He was the leader. He was the alpha male. Twenty-eight individuals in the herd considered him as well, but it doesn´t matter to him. It was natural. His character gave him that status. The wolves and their hierarchical social structure is curious thing. There are often a couple "alpha" which is imposed on the rest using struggles more ritual than actual, maybe postural could say. Anteayer fue el día internacional de la mujer y por tanto creo que puede ser un buen momento para acordarnos de Helen, gran mujer norteamericana ejemplo de superación. Helen Keller nació en un pequeño pueblo de Alabama en 1880. Era una niña preciosa que se desarrollaba con normalidad para satisfacción de sus padres. Sin embargo en 1882 contrajo unas misteriosas fiebres que en su día no supieron explicar. Parece ser que fue lo que hoy en día hubiera sido diagnosticado como una meningitis. Sobrevivió a la enfermedad, pero sin embargo del envite con la misma salió sordociega. Imaginaos lo que era ser un bebé sordociego en el siglo XIX en un pueblo del sur de EEUU. Futuro poco halagüeño sin duda. Sin embargo esta catástrofe no pudo con Helen, que por si misma, en sus primeros años de vida ya fue capaz de desarrollar un lenguaje con cerca de 60 posturas que le permitían satisfacer sus necesidades básicas. La vida le había quitado mucho, pero le había dado una inteligencia enorme solo comparable con su amor propio y afán de superación. Parece mentira, pero hay cosas que o hunden a las personas o las hacen increíblemente fuertes. Helen was born in a small town in Alabama in 1880. It was a beautiful girl who grows normally for satisfaction of their parents. However in 1882 she contracted a mysterious fever that everybody failed to explain, it seems that today it had been diagnosed as meningitis. She survived the disease, but as result of that fever she suffered deafblind. Imagine what was to be deafblind in the 19th century in a village in the south of US. But this disaster could not defeat Helen, and, in her first years of life she was able to develop a language with about 60 positions that allowed her to cover her basic needs. Life had taken her much, but had given her a huge intelligence comparable only with her own love by herself and desire for improvement. It seems not true, but there are things that or sink you or make you incredibly strong.

Fue embajadora de la asociación de ciegos de EEUU y eso la hizo viajar por más de 35 países. conoció a todos los presidentes norteamericanos a los que conmovió su historia, desde Wilson hasta Kennedy. Increíble y larga vida que acabó plácidamente mientras dormía una noche de junio de 1968. Anne taught Helen to learn letters, then words and then sentences using spelling in the palm of the hand. She makes her to touch an object and then she spelled its name on his hand to identify it. So she could write and read Braille. Another incredible challenge was to speak. I do not know as she did, but it happened. I guess that simply the power intellectual of Helen broke through. She managed to finish a college degree and even write a book about his life, became interested in politics, the situation of women, disabled people,...
