Era el líder. Era el macho alfa. Veintiocho individuos de la manada lo consideraban así, pero el no le daba importancia. Era natural. Su carácter le daba esa condición. Es curioso lo de los lobos y su estructura jerárquica social. Suele haber una pareja llamada "alfa" que se impone al resto a base de luchas más rituales que reales, más bien posturales podríamos decir. Suelen ser los individuos más dotados físicamente. Una vez alcanzado su status predominante, no imponen sus decisiones a los demás, sino que simplemente toman esas decisiones y los demás las siguen. Así hasta que llega el turno de que algún joven tome la iniciativa de hacerse con el control y de nuevo, siguiendo el ritual ancestral, lo consiga.
He was the leader. He was the alpha male. Twenty-eight individuals in the herd considered him as well, but it doesn´t matter to him. It was natural. His character gave him that status. The wolves and their hierarchical social structure is curious thing. There are often a couple "alpha" which is imposed on the rest using struggles more ritual than actual, maybe postural could say. They tend to be the most gifted individuals physically. Once reached its predominant status, they do not impose their decisions to others, but simply they make those decisions and the others follow them. Thus until it reaches the turn that some young take the initiative to take control and following the ancient ritual, again, get it.
Pero la manada a la que nos referimos no era normal. No era normal ya de por sí lo de los veintiocho individuos, suelen ser menos en la mayoría de las manadas. Pero lo más llamativo si cabe es que el macho alfa del que hablamos era un ser humano, un hombre. A los lobos no le importaba este dato. Habían sido "impregnados".
But the herd to which we refer was not normal. It wasn´t normal the size of the herd. But the most unusual thing is that the alpha male of which we spoke was a human being, a man. This piece of information didn't mind the wolves. They had been "impregnated".
¿Qué es eso? os preguntaréis. Pues bien es algo que descubrió Konrad Lorenz. Parece ser que en las semanas iniciales de la vida de cualquier cachorro, se desarrolla en ellos la conciencia de que son y a donde pertenecen. Una vez pasado ese relativamente breve periodo, se cierra esa puerta a la conciencia y ya no se puede volver a abrir. Si en ese periodo han interiorizado que un hombre es su cuidador y su guía, lo considerarán siempre como tal. Todos sus sentidos se "impregnan" de él
What is that? You may ask you. Well, it is something that Konrad Lorenz discovered. It seems that in the initial weeks of the life of any puppy, the awareness that they are and to where they belong develop in them. Once passed this relatively short period, closes that door to consciousness and then it cannot be reopened. Pero es que este hombre, llamado Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente, también era especial. Consiguió con la paciencia de quién ama la naturaleza como el que más, ser ese padre lobo que la manada necesitaba. En marzo, concretamente el día 14, fue el aniversario tanto de su nacimiento como de su muerte en accidente de avión en Alaska, ese trágico día en que los veintiocho lobos quedaron sin líder. La Tierra se quedó sin El Hombre. Sirva este pequeño y modesto homenaje a alguien tan grande. This man, named Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente, was also special. He got with the patience of who loves the nature more, be that Father Wolf herd needed. In March, specifically the 14th, was the anniversary of both his birth and his death in a plane crash in Alaska, that tragic day that twenty-eight wolves were left leaderless. En cuanto a la música, empezaremos con Jason Newsted y su banda Newsted y un tema que hubieran firmado los mismísimos Metallica, grupo del que Newsted fue miembro como sabéis. Al tema únicamente le falta la voz de Hetfield para ser redondo. Buen tema este King of the Underdogs. Después seguiremos con Queensryche y Arrow of Time. Gran calidad instrumental y sobretodo vocal la de estos clásicos. Americanos con sonido europeo. Europeos como los fineses Timo Rautiainen y Neljas Sektori su tema Piru Minut Perikoon, los suecos Opeth y su gran calidad y para acabar una tierna ballada que integra a uno de los mejores vocalistas europeos ex-Helloween. Michael Kiske acompañado de la bella Amanda Somerville, gran voz también. Espero que disfrutéis.
