Elegía de Ben Jonson a W.Shakespeare.

Ben Jonson. Elegy to W. Shakespeare.

Se podría decir que Christopher había vivido de todo, y todavía no tenía 30 años. Humilde de orígenes, vividor, oportunista, aventurero .. ya mientras estudiaba en Cambridge había viajado a Francia y había realizado labores de espionaje para la reina como agente secreto. Su problema es que vivía al límite y nunca rehusaba una buena reyerta y por ello se había creado numerosos enemigos, y si bien estaba acostumbrado a los problemas legales nunca habían sido tan graves como los que ahora le acechaban. Había sido acusado de traición a la reina, de blasfemia, e incluso de conductas sexuales inapropiadas y eso estaba muy castigado en aquella Inglaterra.
You could say that Christopher had seen it all, and still he wasn´t 30 years old. Humble origins, playboy, opportunist, adventurer .. and while he was studying at Cambridge had traveled to France and was workes for the queen as a secret agent. His problem is that he lived to the limit and never refused a good brawl  and for that he had created many enemies, and although he was accustomed to legal problems, it had never been so serious as he have to watch right now. He had been accused of treason against the queen, blasphemy, and even sexual misconduct and that was nice very punished in England.

Pero Christopher tenía un as en la manga. Y es que además de un importante padrino en la Corte, había acumulado bastantes informaciones comprometidas para mucha gente, y esas informaciones estaban a buen recaudo preparadas para surgir si a él le pasaba algo. Ese era su salvoconducto, y sus enemigos lo sabían. Por eso negociaron con él y buscaron una solución satisfactoria para todos. Simularían su muerte y lo harían salir de Inglaterra. Se acabarían así sus problemas y podría empezar fuera de Inglaterra una nueva vida, dedicándose a lo que en el fondo más le gustaba. Escribir.
But Christopher had an ace in his sleeve. Ben Jonson. Armado con sus más de 29000 vocablos,  podría decirse que llegó a los confines del lenguaje, algo que hasta entonces no se había hecho y que desde entonces no pudo ser repetido.

¿Qué es lo que peor llevaba Christopher? Posiblemente no poder firmar sus obras. Y es que recordad que estaba oficialmente muerto. Afortunadamente su protector en Inglaterra había buscado el hombre de paja ideal para firmar sus obras. Era el hijo de un fabricante de guantes con desigual fortuna, que dados sus problemas legales, se había visto obligado a aceptar el trato, un acuerdo del que visto el éxito de la época, nunca se arrepintió. Ese pacto hizo desaparecer a Christopher Marlowe, naciendo el personaje posiblemente más importante de la literatura mundial, William Shakespeare.

Y es que esta es una de las teorías que más me gustan de las que existen sobre la autoría de las obras de Shakespeare. No digo que sea cierta, pero los que la defienden, consideran extraño que alguien sin casi estudios como el bardo, del que tampoco se conocen viajes, del que no se conserva escrito alguno, escribiera esas obras. Todo ello sin embargo si encajaría con la figura de Marlowe, con muchos más estudios y conocimientos vitales. También es algo extraño que siendo de la misma edad, a los 29 años Marlowe tuviese ya una amplia obra literaria y Shakespeare estuviera inédito y que las obras de éste aparecieran justo después de la supuesta muerte de aquel. Es como que a William, la inspiración le surge de repente a partir de la muerte de Marlowe. 
And this is one of the theories that I like of which there are about the authorship of Shakespeare's plays. I am not saying it's true, but those who defend it, considered strange that someone with almost no studies as the bard, not travels also known, which is not retained any writing, write those works. All this however fit with the figure of Marlowe, with many more studies and life skills. It is also strange that being of the same age, at age 29 and Marlowe had a wide literary and Shakespeare was unprecedented and that it works appeared just after the supposed death of him.
